Family Member of the Month
It's a hard award for which to choose a recipient. The baby is always cute. Steve is always doing the dishes, getting up in the night when the baby cries, and doing all the laundry. We have lots of grandparents who babysit regularly. . . But the reward this month really just has to go to Sherman.
Sherman is the 16-year-old cat who puts up with the baby, even as he inches forward, ever closer, ever nearer, with jaws open wide. . .

God (or whatever) bless cats. They teach, they entertain, and they conveniently poop in boxes.

Congrats, Sherman. Well played! I love seeing small humans learning how to co-exist (like the lion/mouse 'co-exist' needlepoint in your ellicott street room) with other creatures. So far my five-month-old Iain has already learned he must share his diaper-changing tabletop with Hermione, our fiesty one-year-old kitten.
I hope you got the email I sent to the nasw address and I hope all is well with your growing gang. There is so much to catch up on and as your coming to Thailand has been postponed (but still in the cards someday? I can give you kid-friendly tips for travel here, and obviously our home is kid-proof), can we Skype soon?

Hello, how are you?
Really Ben is a nice boy, and we're sure you'll continue to enjoy watching him growing up, as we do with our own grandchildren as well(in fact, the latest ones: two girls who were born in last februar and march, by the way much younger than Ben!).
May we use this Ben's blog to keep in contact with your dear father Eric, whom we had great pleasure to meet in Paris. Please transmit to him our friendly thoughts (and recall, if necessary, our mailing address: claude@bauduin-bousquet.fr, or monique@bauduin-bousquet.fr), and let him know the URL of the Jerome's blog (our son, a painter, whose he owns a picture): http://jeromebauduin.over-blog.com/
Thanks a lot for your mediation.
Monique & Claude
